A plea for volunteers to help young disabled riders into the saddle has reined in an "amazing response".

More than 20 people have contacted Wyre Forest Riding for Disabled (RDA) after the appeal in a recent edition of Kidderminster Shuttle.

The group supports up to 14 very disabled children from Wyre Forest School, Kidderminster, to have therapeutic horse riding sessions at Stourport Riding Centre.

Sue Beeson, RDA group instructor, said: "We have had an amazing response.

"We are hoping that most of these enquiries will convert to volunteers and it's certainly looking hopeful."

Initial training for the volunteers will start on September 11.

Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Sue on 07890 171453.
