SUPERMARKET staff in Kidderminster raised £1,163 for charity when they did their bit towards a mammoth "round the world" cycle ride.
Employees at Morrisons took turns to cover 322 miles on a fixed bike - without leaving the store.
It was part of the supermarket chain's effort to cycle the 24,902 mile circumference of the globe for the Sue Ryder charity.
General manager Zoe Phillips said: “Our Kidderminster store was very pleased to have raised money for Sue Ryder as part of the Morrisons South West Round the World Cycle Challenge.
"We hope that the £127,929 raised by all Morrisons colleagues throughout the region will provide vital Sue Ryder healthcare services to support thousands of families and help create a new online support community.”
Dutch food stalls, fancy dress and cake bakes were also held in the store to bring in more cash for the charity.
