NINE men involved in a £200,000 car stealing conspiracy had their case adjourned when they appeared at Worcester Crown Court for sentence.

They were arrested after a 13-month operation by police after more than 80 cars had been stolen in the Midlands and were either cut up or transported to London.

One of the defendants, Rocky Butler, was from Droitwich Road, Kidderminster, one was from London and the remainder from Walsall, Bilston and Pensnett.

Prosecutor Stefan Kowlodinski said a delay was necessary because the basis of plea made by several defendants was still being discussed.

Recorder Robert Spencer-Bernard adjourned the sentencing until December 22.
