PUPILS from a Kidderminster school are being kept safe in their journey to and from school thanks to a donation of high visibility armbands.

Property firm Bellway, which is currently building 200 homes at the Keepers Lock development in the town, donated the armbands to children at nearby St Mary’s CE Primary School.

Tina Walker, sales manager for Bellway’s West Midlands division, said that the company always tried to get involved in the local community, and couldn’t wait to see children with the armbands around the area.

“We were given a warm welcome by St Mary’s CE Primary School and the children were very excited about trying the armbands on,” she said.

“We have children who attend the school living at Keepers Lock and we hope to have many more in the future, so helping to keep them as safe as possible is important to us.

“Hopefully these armbands will help to do that while also encouraging more children to walk to school.

“We look to build relationships with the local community in the areas where we build, and Kidderminster is no exception.”
