The speaker at the February meeting was Adam Williams from the “Midlands Air Ambulance Charity”. A very informative talk about the work and financing of this very important Charity. The competition “An aircraft ornament or memorabilia” was won by Dorothy Hadwell, second Margaret Payton and third Rita Baker.
The birthday raffle was won by Rita Baker and Doreen Clemson. The first skittles match has been played, a win for Astley 269 against Franche 225 .
The March meeting will have the members improving their skills at curling and the competition will be ‘An item of sports memorabilia’.
New members are always welcome at the Franche Community Hall on Wolverley Road, first Tuesday in the month at 7.30pm.
