The choir are looking forward to joining classical crossover artists G4 on their reunion tour when it arrives in Birmingham next month.

The tour will come to the Birmingham Town Hall on Sunday, April 5.

The four piece group G4 wowed audiences on The X Factor with their amazing performance of Nessun Dorma in 2004.

They subsequently become known for their cover of Bohemian Rhapsody which stormed the charts in 2005.

Supporting G4 will be members of Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Stourbridge and Redditch Rock Choir groups as well as Charlotte Jaconelli from Jonathan and Charlotte, who were the runners up in Britain’s Got Talent in 2012.

Rock Choir will open the show with a 30-minute set, and will then join G4 on stage for 6 songs including Freddie Mercury’s Barcelona and One Day More from Les Miserables.

Kidderminster Rock Choir has been running since September 2012 and in that time has raised money for various charities including Missing People, Young Minds, Macmillan Cancer Support and Crohns & Colitis UK.

They have performed at various local events including the Kidderminster Arts Festival and the town’s Christmas Lights Switch-On, as well as larger events at Wembley Stadium and Birmingham’s Symphony Hall alongside special celebrity guest Toyah Wilcox. In June they’ll be part of a national Rock Choir event with thousands of other Rock Choir members at the Genting Arena.

Rock Choir’s uplifting ethos of fun, friendship and community spirit is a huge part of its attraction.

It helps improve people’s self-confidence, and gives them new singing skills, a dynamic new social life and a great sense of fulfilment.

There are no auditions in Rock Choir and no previous musical experience is necessary.

We are a very friendly, sociable group and new members are always welcome.

Kidderminster Rock Choir rehearses at Severn Valley Railway on Mondays from 8-9.30pm.

You can book a free taster session at www.rockchoir.com or call 01252714276.
