To mark twenty-five years of exchange visits Kidderminster Choral Society and the Theodor Storms Chor of Husum are putting on a celebratory Twinning Concert in St Mary and All Saints Church on Saturday, May 9, starting at 7pm.
Conducted by Geoffrey Weaver and Christoph Jensen, the combined choirs will be accompanied by The Elgar Sinfonia.
The programme will include the wellknown Gloria by Antonio Vivaldi and the Cecilia Mass, an early work of Joseph Haydn. Peter Knott, publicity officer for the society commented “These are gorgeous pieces - they are exhilarating to sing and a joy to listen to.
Husum guests will be staying for a few days, and among outings and events planned they will be visiting the Kidderminster Museum of Carpet”.
Tickets for the concert are available online at wegottickets.com, priced at £10, plus booking fee. Children 16 and under go free.
Tickets on the door will be priced at £14 and are subject to availability.
