KIDDERMINSTER & DISTRICT ARCHAEOLOGICAL & HISTORICAL SOCIETY

On February 3 Richard Perrin will talk to the society on The History of Bewdley.

The talk will outline Bewdley's history making particular reference to its royal connection and the importance of the River Severn. There will be lots of old photographs included in the presentation.

Richard is passionate about Bewdley's heritage and its history. He was born in Bewdley and has lived there all his life. He is chairman of Bewdley Civic Society. His career was in the field of corporate banking with Midland/HSBC Banks and, prior to retirement in 2003, he spent 9 years with HSBC as manager of the Wyre Forest branches.

The meeting following will be on February 10, when Melvyn Thompson will speak to us on Victorian Kidderminster.

Meetings of the Society start at 7.30pm and are held in St George's Annexe, adjacent to St George's Church, Radford Avenue, Kidderminster, DY10 2ES.

There is a small charge for visitors who are very welcome.
