KIDDERMINSTER & DISTRICT ARCHAEOLOGICAL & HISTORICAL SOCIETY: On March 9 Gillian Ellis will give a talk to the society entitled Bournville Heritage.
The talk will be about the development of Bournville village from the late 1800’s to the present day. It will touch on the Cadbury family and the Factory and will also give information about Selly Manor Museum, the two timber framed buildings that George Cadbury moved into the village.
Gillian is the Heritage Manager for Bournville Village Trust, responsible for the management of the museum and the Roger Cadbury Library. She also give talks and tours of the estate.
The meeting following will be on Wednesday 23rd March, when Sue Burns will give a talk entitled A Walk around Claverley.
Meetings of the society open at 7.30 for a 7.45pm start and are held in St George's Annexe, adjacent to St George's Church, Radford Avenue, Kidderminster.
There is a small charge for visitors who are very welcome.
