KIDDERMINSTER CHORAL SOCIETY: This spring, the society will give a performance of Handel's Coronation Anthem "The King Shall Rejoice", Haydn's “Nelson” Mass and Mozart's "Solemn Vespers". The concert, entitled "Classical masters", takes place at Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday, March 19, starting at 7.30pm.
Conducted by Geoffrey Weaver, the society will be joined by soloists Naomi Berry (soprano), Elisabeth Paul (contralto), Chris Lombard (tenor) and Andrew Randall (bass), and with accompaniment from Marcus Huxley (organ) and The Elgar Sinfonia.
Peter Knott, publicity officer for the society, commented "These are three choral masterpieces from the 18th century, and by three of the greatest composers of all time”.
Tickets for the concert are available online at wegottickets.com, priced at between £12 and £15, plus booking fee. Children age 18 and under go free. Tickets on the door will be priced at £17 (concessions £16) and are subject to availability.
