KIDDERMINSTER SOROPTIMISTS: At the recent open meeting there were twelve visitors. It was a great pleasure also, to hand over a cheque for £738.12, the proceeds of our Bridge Tournament, to Emma Dowler Community Fundraising Officer of Alzheimer Society.
The Queen’s 90th official birthday is coming up in June. There will be a fundraising Afternoon Garden Party on June 3 at 69 St John’s Avenue, Kidderminster 2-4.30pm afternoon tea and plant sale, admission £1; tea and cake £1.50. There will be a bread making demonstration by Janice Bell, author of Bread at Home, on June 15 at Gately Farm, Cutnall Green. £10 per person including a glass of wine, cheese and nibbles to go with the bread baked that evening.
