Most recently they travelled to the world famous Abbey Road Studios where they took part in their very own recording session, and it was a day the choir members will never forget, with many describing it as the best day of their lives. Exciting plans are afoot for the new academic year and those who are interested in finding out more are encouraged to come along for a free taster session.

Rock Choir makes singing accessible to everyone and there are no auditions and members don’t need to read sheet music or have any previous experience. Singing together and achieving such a great sound gives members a huge sense of fulfilment. Added to this is the glamour and excitement of performing in public, which for many is a truly liberating experience. The repertoire consists of Rock Choir’s unique, exemplary arrangements of well-known, uplifting chart hits from across the decades by artists as diverse as Beyonce, Bon Jovi and Erasure. Rock Choir has won multiple awards, broken three Guinness World Records and is the most popular choir in the UK with over 25,000 members nationwide.

Rock Choir performs regularly in the local area and many of their events help to raise both awareness and large sums of money for local and national charities. Rock Choir’s uplifting ethos of fun, friendship and community spirit is a huge part of its attraction, and its members speak of improved confidence, a brand new social life and a huge sense of fulfilment. There are also a surprising number of health benefits to singing in a choir, from improved circulation and brain function to better mental health and a stronger immune system.
