The November meeting took place as usual at the Fox, Stourton, where members enjoyed an excellent lunch.
New member John Davis was welcomed.
The speaker, Robin Hill, looks after things at Hartlebury Castle, which houses the county museum. He delivered a brilliantly constructed, yet easy-going talk on some of the artefacts there.
He described them as items he would want to take on a desert island, having both important general but also personal interest.
Any retired gent wishing to join the club for a relaxed monthly lunch (our ladies join us quarterly) should ring secretary David Giddings on 01384 873646.
