THE anxious wait was over for students and staff at Edgecliff High School in Kinver, who received their "pleasing" A level results this morning.

Students at the Enville Road school celebrated improved results, with 40 per cent of youngsters achieving A*-B grades and 70 per cent gaining A*-C qualifications.

Together with a significant rise in the average points score per candidate and per entry, headteacher Chris Rogers said the results were further evidence that the sixth form continues to grow and improve.

He added: “We are extremely pleased and encouraged that the efforts of students and staff have again been rewarded by an increase in the level of success for our sixth form.

"I would like to congratulate our students on their performance and thank staff for all their hard work.”
