COMMUNITY webstite Kinver Online has already enjoyed a slice of success in attempts to increase the number of independent councillors on the parish council.
The website launched a campaign encouraging more independents to stand in the forthcoming elections on May 7.
Already efforts have paid-off with independent Gary Mander being elected unopposed to the Potters Cross ward.
Kinver on-line spokesman Andy Calloway said: "We're actively supporting and promoting the independents. We want to try and make Kinver Parish Council less about party politics and instead become more locally focused.
"That's why we are calling on people to back the independents.
"Eventually we would like to form our own Kinver Online party, although under another name, but that's part of a four-year plan to challenge the Conservative monopoly.
"We have three independents standing in the Dunsley ward on May 7 which we believe will offer people a real choice and help shake-up local politics."
