A NEW support group for people with dementia is being launched in Kinver by the Alzheimer’s Society.
The free Kinver Dementia Café will run on the second Thursday of each month from 1.30pm to 3pm at Kinver Fire Station.
The café will provide an opportunity for people with dementia and their carers to socialise and get much needed face to face support.
Cathy Bowler, operations manager for Alzheimer's Society in Staffordshire and Shropshire, said: “Alzheimer’s Society’s dementia cafes can really help improve people’s quality of life.
“They’re a great source of information and guidance which can help people to live well with the condition.”
A variety of guest speakers, including health and social care professionals and representatives from the local community, will talk to the group about topics and services relevant to them.
