KINVER Historical Society enjoyed an important date of their own when they staged a dinner to celebrate their 60th anniversary at Basil's Restaurant.
Founded in 1955, the society paid tribute to David Bills, who has been their president since 1983, by presenting him with a piece of dark blue Stourbridge glass.
An accomplished speaker on the history of Kinver, Mr Bills was later invited to cut the first piece of anniversary cake.
The society meet on the first Wednesday of every month at Kinver Senior Citizens' Club at 7.45pm and anyone interested in history, whether local or national, are welcome to join them.
