The ladies managed to pull a dry day out of the hat for Kinver Country Fayre, I'm sure that many of you that visited the fayre found us with our famous hamper raffle, a great success thanks to all you lovely people out there. Congratulations not just to our winners but also to the Country Fayre organisers who did a great job as ever. The following Saturday found us visiting a very unusual venue, Newman Brothers in Birmingham where their Coffin Museum has been returned to it’s former splendour, a strange choice you may think but a fascinating glimpse of the Victorians trying to outdo each other even at the end. September will find us taking a look at another blast from the past--- The Divvy, Ned Williams will bring us a history of the dividends (Co-Op) Oh yes we knew how to save back in the day, even when we bought the weekly groceries. We meet on the second Monday in the month, 7.30pm, at the Senior Citizen’s Hall Kinver. Visitors are always welcome.
