KINVER Board Games Club is holding an open day on Sunday (November 27) – and is inviting people to join in the fun.

The event, at Kinver Methodist Church Hall, Enville Road, will give people the chance to play a range of multi-player board games like Settlers of Catan and Terra Mystica or just find out what the club is about.

It boasts around 15 members who meet at the church hall every Thursday from 7pm.

Member Steven Garratt, aged 35, said: "The games we play are like Monopoly but a little bit more interesting.

"We would encourage people to come along on Sunday and have a go at something a bit different."

Settlers of Catan was so popular it has been called the the 'board game of our time' by The Washington Post. A documentary called Going Cardboard focused on the game's impact on American gaming communities.

It's free to take a look around from noon – with a £5 charge to play games.

Under-16s can play for free if accompanied by an adult.

Light refreshments will be provided.
