A GLOBAL yearly event which unites the world’s population in the fight against cancer is descending on Kinver.
Members from the Cancer Research UK Kinver branch are calling for village folk to show their support to the cause this World Cancer Day.
This year, the event is taking place on Saturday (February 4) and the small group of members from the Kinver branch will be selling 'Unity' wristbands in High Street between 10am and 4pm, with all the money raised being donated to the charity.
Lesley Joyce, Kinver branch chairman, said: “We hope that everyone will join us in showing their support by purchasing a wristband. For just a £2 donation, it could make all the difference.
“With one in two people being diagnosed with cancer at some point in their life, it is a great way to play your part in this act of 'Unity'.”
