EVERYDAY scenes including pubs, canals, chain-making and other local industry will be part of a Black Country photography exhibition.
The Black Country Society’s latest exhibition is set to go on display from today (Tuesday, May 2) until Wednesday, May 31, at Kinver Community Library.
James Morgan, BCS chairman, said: “We have 1,700 members worldwide and we’re proud to be celebrating our 50th anniversary this year.
“An array of black and white photos will depict the past and present and take a glimpse into the future of the Black Country.
“Kinver was of course known as the playground of the Black Country in the '20s and '30s, especially when the old tram was running, so it’s very fitting we’re taking the exhibition there.”
Marie Roberts, exhibitions organiser for the volunteer-run library, said: “We’re looking forward to hosting what promises to be a rich slice of local history – do come and have a look.”
