The January meeting was a victim of the bad weather and had to be cancelled. It is hoped that the speaker from Kemp Hospice will be able to join us later in the year.
The February meeting will be held on Monday, February 8 in Mamble Village Hall starting at 7.30 pm. Melvyn Thompson from the Kidderminster Carpet Museum will speak about ‘magic carpets’. The competition is a seasonal photograph and there will be a trading stall.
With the new image of the WI being ‘inspirational women’, the institute is looking forward to an interesting year. A varied programme of speakers has been arranged for this year with talks on Bowcetts of Tenbury, Edward and Mrs Simpson and ‘honey, I have poisoned your lunch!’ to name a few. New members and visitors welcome.
