A COUNTRY garden in Rock is opening to give the public a rare glimpse of its summer colours as they stroll through the one and a half acres.
Keen gardener Pam Jarvie hopes to raise hundreds of pounds for Cancer Research UK by welcoming visitors to her garden on Sunday, July 31.
The event is in memory of her late husband, Kidderminster GP Neil Jarvie, who died from cancer in 2006, aged 52.
It is only the second time the garden has been opened and teas, with homemade cakes, will be on sale. The first opening, in 2009, raised £700 for the Milbrook Suite Appeal at Kidderminster Hospital, where Dr Jarvie had undergone chemotherapy.
Visitors are welcome between 2pm and 5pm and there will be an entrance charge.
