RESIDENTS are being invited to get into the Christmas spirit at the annual Stourport Christmas Craft Market on Saturday. (November 22)

Hosted by Stourport Primary School, the market features more than 30 stalls, selling items including cards, jewellery, cupcakes, mosaics and scarves.

There will also be a nail painting stall and a bottle tombola, with money raised from the event going towards purchasing iPads for the school.

Children will also be kept entertained by The Big Yellow Party Bus which will be stopping at the Christmas market this year from 11am until 1pm.

Elsewhere there will be a big bouncy castle and an opportunity to make mosaics to take home, while the market will be opened by the Stourport Carnival court of Queen Mary Newman, Princess Halle Griffiths and Rosebud Darcie Holmes.

Gareth Owen, organiser, said: “This year’s event has been the quickest to sell out our stalls.

“We've got lots of independent traders old and new attending and this will be the place to find some very nice Christmas presents that you wouldn't normally find down the high street.

“The school is also running its popular chocolate and bottle tombolas as well as a raffle supported by lots of local businesses.”

The craft market is open between 11am and 3pm and is offering free entry with free parking by the school.
