STOURPORT CIVIC SOCIETY: Brian Draper presented a fine illustrated talk describing the numerous nature reserves and country parks situated along the length of the River Severn. Each site was carefully chosen for its ease of access to able and disabled persons alike. He described the animals, birds and plants that could be seen at each site and the best time of year to view them. Near to home Bewdley offers several interesting sites including the Ribbesford Circular Trail. Even some of the cities along the river offer chances to spot wild life. A recent survey of Worcester revealed 44 different species for visitors to discover.
There is to be an outing to the National Arboretum arranged for June 14. Look out for the "outings list" at the next meeting and sign up for any you are interested in.
