Members were reminded of the autumn group meeting hosted by Somerleyton at Hartlebury Village Hall on October 22 at 7.30pm. The annual birthday dinner is at La Brasserie on October 14, meet at 7pm for 7.30pm. Treasurer Eileen Whitfield gave details of finances.
President Margaret Mills introduced John Morgan who, with his wife, Janet told how they and their family had developed their house and garden from scratch. They now open for the National Gardens Scheme.
Competition winner for a flower from the garden was Muriel Owen.
The next meeting is on October 5 held at The Oaks Community Hall, Mustow Green at 7.30pm, when Jill Gray will speak on ‘my inspiration in painting’. The competition is ‘I made it’. Visitors welcome.
