A VINTAGE steam rally is celebrating its 10th anniversary when it returns to Coney Green Farm next month.

Stourport Vintage Steam Rally and Country Show features vintage vehicles, a 4x4 off-road experience, fairground rides and live evening entertainment Other attractions at the show include a husky display team, car boot sale, trade stalls, dog show, a rare breed pet’s corner and children’s entertainment.

Refreshments will be available throughout the weekend, where there will also be a beer tent, food stalls and a pig roast.

Pat Crump, show organiser alongside husband Steve, said: “We’re delighted to still be going in our tenth year.

“This year we have wonderful attractions returning from previous years but new for us will be an extreme mountain bike show.

“There will also be a different feel to the show this year as we have Irish dancers performing, which will help create a different country show vibe.”

The event has grown in size and popularity each year and Mrs Crump believes it is due to offering attractions that other shows do not.

“My husband came up with the idea as he wanted to hold a rally for years and we always hoped it would last this long,” she said.

“But it has grown year on year and we are helped by having great attractions, but also by the live music we have in the evenings.

“Other shows of this kind seem to die out in the evenings, but with our live music we keep people around all day as well as bringing them back each year.”

The daytime entertainment will run on Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13, with the evening entertainment taking place on Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12, between 8pm and midnight.

Mrs Crump said: “We have four great live bands lined up to perform, two on the Friday and two on Saturday.

“On Friday we have the Starving Rascals playing and on Saturday we have Blind Lemon who will be supported by local favourites The Bravo Boys.

“Both those band are retuning by popular demand – they were both great when they’ve played for us in the past.”

Tickets to the daytime events, open between 10am and 5pm on both days, cost £6 for adults and £3 for concessions.

Tickets for the evening entertainment are £3 on Friday and £5 on Saturday.
