A MINITURE Shetland pony and a clown will join the residents of a Stourport care home at its annual summer fete this weekend.

The tiny animal, which is about the size of a St Bernard dog, will be at Ravenhurst Residential Care Home when it opens its doors to members of the public between 2pm and 6pm on Saturday.

The family fun fete will feature a bouncy castle, face painting and garden games, including a hook a duck.

There will also be a barbecue, a DJ playing music from across the decades and stalls selling a variety of items from crafts to cakes as well as a prize tombola and raffle.

Carla Siwicki, the home’s activities leader, said: “Our residents absolutely love our annual fete and really enjoy welcoming people from the local community to come along and celebrate the summer with us.

“This year will be extra special with our tiny four-legged friend Franchesca trotting along for a visit.”

All the money raised on the day will go towards the home’s residents’ activities fund, which pays for trips and other activities for the residents.
