WILDEN All Saints church near Stourport will honour the heroes of the First World War by holding a commemorative evening of song.
A musical journey through 1914 to 1918 will be presented by Wilden Concert Choir, including pieces by Irving Berlin, tunes from the trenches and a sing-along of wartime classics.
The Wilden’s World War I Tribute Concert will take place on Saturday, September 13 from 7.30pm to 10pm, costs £5 and audience members are invited to dress up and bring a patriotic flag.
The war-themed evening will be followed by a pet service on Sunday, September 14 at 10.30am, with the congregation encouraged to turn up with their animals.
A geo-caching event – an outdoor recreational activity which involves using GPS devices to a complete a real-life treasure hunt – will also take place on the Sunday at noon.
