KIND hearted pupils at a Stourport school helped raise more than £400 for Children in Need.

The students of Burlish Park Primary School raised £405 for the BBC appeal by holding a non-school uniform day.

Children had to pay £1 to be able to come into school in their own clothes and also have their faces painted.

Lynda Williams, eco schools co-ordinator, said “Children in Need is one of the school’s adopted charities and we raise money each year for this worthwhile cause.

“We are always amazed year on year at the generosity of both parents and children to help others less fortunate than themselves.”
