STOURPORT FLORAL ART: Chairman Di Crump welcomed members and visitors to the meeting on September 26 and before introducing the demonstrator had the very sad news to tell everyone that our committee member Joy Cook had unexpectedly died in hospital early September.

Joy had been a member for many years and been both a treasurer and chairman ,

Sylvia Bennett spoke of her devotion to the club, she was a wonderful flower arranger for Areley Kings Church and is going to be missed very, very much.

The husband of member Ann Mann had passed away and a sympathy card had been sent on behalf of the club .

Di then introduced the demonstrator for the evening ,Lin McCoy was a member who was taking the exams to become a NAFAS demonstrator and gave a lovely evenings entertainment with her unusual designs and amusing chatter. Ann Hingley gave the vote of thanks on behalf of the audience, she had been Lins tutor a few years ago,

Next months meeting is on October 31 with Joan Southerton presenting “Lets have a party” following by a Ploughmans supper prepared by Peggy Godsell.

Meetings are held at The Elizabeth Mills Centre New Street 7.30pm.
