AN appeal has been made by Kemp Hospice for people to house a collection box in their home, work or local pub to raise funds for its Children’s Appeal.

The Kemp for Kids appeal aims to raise £30,000 to support children and young people coping with bereavement in Wyre Forest and the surrounding areas.

One collection box filled with 20ps would generate about £25 towards the appeal and will provide materials for therapeutic work.

Richard Brown, fundraising manager, said: “The collection boxes are an ideal way to show your support for our Kemp for Kids appeal.

“They’re small and have been designed in the shape of a house so they’re eye-catching. If every Shuttle reader gave just 50p, we’d reach our target in no time”.

Money raised from the collection boxes will be used for the Children’s Appeal, in association with The Shuttle, which aims to deliver various programmes around the local area to support bereaved children.

Already more than 80 children and young people have been supported and the demand for help continues to rise.
