KEMP Hospice is looking for complementary therapists who can volunteer to help in its day hospice.

Therapists form a valuable part of the care provided to day patients at the centre, with therapies offered during morning sessions.

Kemp Hospice had more than 50 responses to an appeal in The Shuttle asking for help with children’s family support.

Volunteer co-ordinator Natalie Norgrove said: “I can’t believe the response we have had from the local community in response to helping provide volunteer support at Kemp Hospice.

“We would not be able to offer our services without volunteer support and I am so grateful that people would choose our organisation to volunteer for.”

The hospice now need well-qualified, motivated therapists as part of the team.

All therapy volunteers receive a detailed induction programme and are given on-going support.
