Fifty members gathered at La Brasserie in Kidderminster for the New Year lunch. After the meal Tony proposed a vote of thanks to the committee for the organisation of the meal and the staff of the Brasserie for their excellent service.

Tony then outlined the details of the forthcoming social event. There is a social evening on April 4 at the Lickhill Community Centre. This event will replace our normal monthly lunch. The evening’s entertainment will be provided by the Black Country comedians Dandy and a fish and chip supper will be served in the interval. Please bring your own drink and cutlery. Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm. Admission £10 including the fish and chip supper.

Please let Tony now if you wish to attend as soon as possible. This will be a members only event to start with but may be opened up to non-members if numbers permit. The Grange in Sutton Road is open again after the recent health scare, so Heather is able to receive visitors once more. At the next meeting on February 20 Anne Bradford will give a talk entitled Ghosts, murders and scandals.

Meetings are held at the Lickhill Community Centre, Memorial Park, Lickhill Road, Stourport starting at 10am.
