WYRE Forest Historical Research Group’s next monthly meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 14, at Kidderminster Town Hall.
The event, starting at 2pm in the Corn Exchange, features a talk by Diane Clutterbuck who will talk about Emily Pepys, the diarist of Hartlebury Castle.
Gay Hill, publicity officer for the group, said: “Emily was the daughter of the Bishop of Worcester, Henry Pepys, when the family moved to Hartlebury Castle in 1841.
“A distant relative of the famous diarist Samuel Pepys, she was remarkable for writing a diary of her everyday life at Hartlebury at the tender age of ten.
“I am sure it will be a fascinating talk.”
