IT has been a busy night for Wyre Forest’s Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews with all three district stations out on jobs.

At 6.25pm yesterday evening (Thursday, March 12), a crew from Kidderminster attended a small fire in a grill pan in George Dance Close.

A spokesman from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, said: "The incident involved a small fire in a grill pan which was removed to the open air.

"The property was then ventilated."

At 7.53pm yesterday evening (Thursday, March 12), a crew from Stourport reported to an unattended bonfire in the open in Longboat Lane.

Firefighters used water backpacks to extinguish the seven metre square blaze.

At 12.03am this morning (Friday, March 13) a Bewdley crew attended a car fire in Lancaster Road.

A spokesman from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, said: "Two cars were involved in the fire and were well alight.

"Two breathing apparatus and two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire.

"Both vehicles were made safe. One female casualty with minor burns to her arms, was treated by fire service personnel on arrival and was later left in the care of ambulance staff."

A crew from Kidderminster Fire Station was called out at 1.36am this morning to attend to a car which had overturned in Birmingham Road, Blakedown.

The crew assisted West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police with the incident.

One male in his twenties was given a precautionary check from ambulance service personnel.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said the driver of the car had minor chest pain, but did not require hospital treatment.
