WOLVERLEY & COOKLEY HISTORICAL SOCIETY: The society was formed in 1988 and we are fortunate to still have some of the founder members. The society meets on a Monday morning at Wolverley Church Hall at 10am and have a regular attendance of 40. The meetings take the form of talk by a guest speaker or one of our members until 11am followed by coffee and questions, a charge is made per meeting in addition to our annual subscription of £6

So far this year we have had talk by Madeleine Goold on 'Taste and trade in the Caribbean' and one by member John Pearsall entitled 'Down the pole and up the ladder', the history of the Kidderminster Fire Brigade, both talks were very interesting and gave rise to questions from the audience.

On April 11, John Billingham will give a talk on 'William Shenstone- A man of his time'.

Full details of the society, the conducted walks programme and our publications can be found on our website .
