THIS is the second year that students from Wolverley and Baxter College have joined forces to successfully participate in the Walk like a Warrior project, held at the Worcester Warriors’ ground.

Five students from Wolverley, Jack Wyatt, Victoria Ward, Warren Jordan, Keeleigh Whitehouse and Brandon Hodgkins, showed outstanding commitment and motivation throughout the ten week period.

Based in a study centre at Sixways, the project concentrates on developing key skills such as teamwork, leadership, problem solving, communication, confidence and behaviour.

Students and teachers were given the opportunity to learn some rugby and put into action some of the skills they had learned earlier in the day, but in a different situation.

All of our students were awarded certificates for completing a session on being confident and capable of using a defibrillator and were awarded certificates.

They all passed the course and each received a certificate, a Worcester Warriors T-shirt and two match tickets.

Three of our students gained extra awards for showing determination, a positive attitude and noticeable skill development. Well done to them all.
