A GARDEN designer from Wolverley will be getting grubby when he takes part in a military-style 12km obstacle course race for charity.

Ben Harrison, 23, is teaming up with the Grubby Gardeners to take on the Dirty Dozen race, a course designed by ex-British Special Forces.

The team of 20 will be raising funds for Perennial, a UK charity supporting people who work or have worked in horticulture when they face adversity or need, as part of their 175th anniversary campaign.

Mr Harrison will also be completing an additional task such as press-ups during the course for each £100 he raises.

The race is taking place in Hopwood Farm in Kent on Saturday and includes barbed wire, high walls, water and mud.
