WOLVERLEY WI: Despite being a bank holiday, the meeting on May 2 was again well attended.

Members wished a very happy 90th birthday to long standing member Jean. She is key to starting every one of the meetings as she is the lady who plays the piano when we sing Jerusalem. Sally even managed to make a birthday cake in the style of a keyboard which we all shared.

This month we debated and voted on the two resolutions for this year. We then enjoyed sandwiches, cake and tea and reminiscing whilst perusing items from our archives which are about to be transferred to the Hive. It was noted that some of the documents were older than some of our members!

Members registered their interest for forthcoming knit and natter afternoons; events and trips. We were also reminded to note diaries that Wolverley Carnival is on July 2 and our Fish and Chip supper is on July 18.

The next meeting will be on June 6 when the speaker will be Paul Betterton on Mysteries of the Titanic.
