CHILDREN’S charity Barnardo’s is urging Wyre Forest residents wanting to adopt a child to attend one of two information events to coincide with this week’s National Adoption Week.
The charity’s West Midlands Family Placement Team will be on hand to provide face to face information to potential adopters.
The events will take place at the Copthorne Hotel, in Merry Hill, Dudley, on Thursday (November 6) between 7pm and 9pm and on Monday (November 10) from noon until 2pm.
A spokeswoman for the charity said: “Everyone is welcome to come along to meet our team and adopters - we’re desperately appealing for new adopters to come forward from Wyre Forest.
“Barnardo's does not exclude anyone from consideration on the grounds of marital status, sexual orientation, disability or employment status. There is no upper age limit although by law there is a minimum age of 21.”
