A DROP in session for parents who wish to apply for their child’s school place online is being held in Stourport.

Worcestershire County Council will be at Half Crown Wood Children’s Centre, in Princess Way, between 8.45am and 10am on Friday (November 14).

Children born between September 1, 2010, and August 31, 2011, need to apply for a school place starting in September 2015, if they wish to go to school.

County Councillor Liz Eyre, cabinet member for children and families, said: “It is very important that parents, who want their child to go to school, know about the application process and are clear on the opening and closing dates.

“This session is very helpful in showing parents how the process works and will able to answer any questions they might have.”

A Computabus will be on site during the session, to help with using computers, internet and the application process, particularly for parents who don't have access to the internet or a computer.

Applications for reception admissions close on January 15, 2015, and parents can apply online at worcestershire.gov.uk/schooladmissions or by calling 01905 822700.
