HEALTHCARE workers in Wyre Forest are being invited to join a choir aimed at bringing together people from across the county’s healthcare organisations.
The Voices for Health choir was formed in May to provide an opportunity for people working in different roles to join together and sing.
Currently meeting every other Tuesday at 7pm in the Charles Hastings Education Centre at Worcestershire Royal Hospital, the group has plans to expand to Kidderminster Hospital and Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.
Hospital chaplain The Rev David Southall, who runs the choir, said: “The group has already got off to a great start – we now have over 40 regular members.
“The choir is a great way of increasing staff morale and it’s a great opportunity for people who all work in the same profession to have fun.
“Although we all work in healthcare, it is such a large sector that we don’t get the chance to meet and work with everyone.
“We are particularly looking for more men to join the choir, our tenor and bass sections could do with a boost. There are no auditions to join, we just like to sing.”
