This months meeting took place thanks to the kind efforts of Doug and Val.
Unable to gain entrance to the Lickhill Community Centre they offered us the use of the St Michael’s Scout Hut. Soon some 40 members were enjoying Megan’s pictures and stories of the many wonders of China. From rickshaw rides to walking the Great Wall, stunning Bonsai Gardens to the fabulous Terracotta Army.
Thanks were given to Brenda for organising the New Years lunch enjoyed by all who attended. John is looking into arranging a coach trip to take place in May or June.
At the meeting on March 19 Maggie Tohill will be giving a talk entitled “Looking for Uncle Albert”. Please remember to bring your old plastic bottle tops for recycling.
Meetings are held at the Lickhill Community Centre, Lickhill Road, Stourport starting at 10am.
