WYRE FOREST RAMBLERS: The group are taking a coach to Salford Quays with an optional 5 mile walk from Hardy Lane, Chorlton along the river Mersey on the Trans Pennine way then along the Bridgewater canal to reach The Manchester Ship Canal and Salford Quays which is a peasant area for the non-walkers to shop and browse. Pick-ups are available at 8 a.m. 8.10 and 8.30 from Loade St, Bewdley Blackstone and Kidderminster Blackwell St – call Peter on 01299 405166 to reserve a ticket. All welcome. Options for Salford Quays include The Lowry Museum and Imperial War Museum which you will have plenty of time to visit even if you do the canal walk.
