ON your marks! Bromley's excellent pool of sporting talent is set to be rewarded in the forthcoming annual Excellence Awards.

Funded by Bromley council, the awards are presented to local up-and-coming sporting stars in recognition of their achievements and future potential.

Application forms for this year's awards are out now. To be eligible you must be between 11 and 25 years of age and either live, go to school or attend a sports club within the borough and have competed at regional or national level in your chosen sport.

The deadline for applications is October 5 and successful applicants will receive their awards at the prestigious presentation evening on November 27.
