Woman thrown from horse

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after being thrown from a horse in Bromsgrove this morning.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to High Elms Lane, Lower Bentley, at about 9am.

A spokesperson said: "When the ambulance arrived at the scene, crews found a woman who had been thrown from her horse.

"The woman, who is believed to be in her 50's was conscious and breathing and had suffered head and back injuries."

The spokespereson said that ambulance staff immediately started treating the woman for her injuries before she was transferred to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch for further treatment.
