They’re taking it to the limit

7:40am Thursday 15th May 2008

A DETERMINED woman is aiming to push herself to the limit as she rows and walks for charity.

Alison Mason, from Severndale, Droitwich Spa, will take part in a sponsored row along the River Severn before walking the return route to raise funds for the Acorn's Children's Hospice.

Alison will take her place in a 23 person team this Sunday before rowing five miles from Hampton Loade, near Bridgnorth, Shropshire, to Arley, Worcestershire, and walking back using the Severn Way Walk.

Severn Valley Canoes, based in Bridgnorth, have donated canoes for the group to help them complete their task.

Alison, who helped raise funds for the hospice with a Malvern Hills walk last year, said: "When we were soaking wet at the top of the Malvern Hills last year we decided it would be appropriate to do a task which involved water.

"Hopefully we will able to raise a good amount for the charity," she added.

Anyone wanting to sponsor Alison should call her on 07784248725.
