A SPECIAL carriage fit for biker royalty transported the plum queen, princess and consorts around Pershore on Wednesday.

Plum queen Diane Wilson, princess Analeise Cooper and princess consorts Lilly Adams and Ella Townend were driven around the town on a mean machine during a bike meet hosted by Cotswold Bikers.

Over 1,000 motorbikes from all over the Midlands were decorated in purple as part of the celebrations for the Pershore Plum Festival.

Kathy Ford, one of the organisers, said there were all kinds of bikes on display during the event on Wednesday.

"There were allsorts from little scooters to great big trikes and new bikes to vintage bikes.

"Everyone was walking around and taking an interest in each other's bikes."

Cotswold Bikers raised £6,000 for Midlands Air Ambulance last year and Miss Ford said she would love to raise £10,000 for the charity in its tenth anniversary year.
