The following appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between September 8 and 11:

Liam Michael John Griffiths, aged 22, of Milton Street, Pensnett, was given a three month community order for entering a building in Brierley Hill as a trespasser and stealing tools, a drink can and factory components, on August 10. He was given a three month curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 6am. He must pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.

Luke Jonathon Cartwright, aged 28, of Edward Street, Dudley, was sent to prison for 36 weeks, suspended for two years, for stealing items, worth £493 from shops in Dudley, Tipton and Warley, between July 25 and August 27. He must pay compensation of £318.45 and £85 court costs.

Adil Roubani, aged 29, of St Georges Road, Dudley, was given a 12 month community order for being the owner of a Japanese Akita, called Ibby, which was dangerously out of control in Dudley on March 25 and caused injury to a person. The court said Roubani must keep the dog muzzled and on a lead when in a public place and kept in a kennel when left in the house unoccupied or it must be destroyed. Roubani must carry out 80 hours of unpaid work, pay compensation of £2,000 and a £60 victim surcharge.

Ty Damon Augustus Swaby, aged 23, of Springfield Road, Halesowen, was fined £70 for possessing cannabis in Halesowen on June 6. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Marty Smith, aged 31, of Darby End Road, Netherton, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing four joints of beef, worth £41.43, from Aldi, Netherton, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, with the intent to cause a person harassment, alarm or distress, in Brierley Hill on April 23, while subject to a conditional discharge. The offence was racially aggravated. She was also sentenced for stealing alcohol from Asda, Netherton, on May 3. She must pay compensation of £110 and £170 court costs.

Sanjay Chumber, aged 20, of Watsons Green Road, Kates Hill, was sent to prison for 14 weeks for driving without due care or attention, whilst disqualified and without insurance, in Dudley on July 27. He was also sentenced for failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis, during the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence and wilfully obstructing a police officer in the execution of duty. He was disqualified from driving for two years.

Lee Nicholas Wakelam, aged 29, of Grove Road, Wollescote, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 24 months, for assaulting a woman in Wollescote on May 18 and 19. He must pay compensation of £150, a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Nicola Jane New, aged 38, of Park Road, Netherton, was fined £110 for drink driving in Dudley on August 18. When tested she had 66mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. She was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.
